Candyfloss and thrill rides - there's nothing quite like a theme park to bring out the big kid in all of us.

Twenty-first century theme parks are bigger and better than ever before. The best known ones like Alton Towers have followed the Disneyworld way of having fun - the scariest rides, the larger than life set and the all singing, all dancing shows.

But also watch out for the offbeat theme parks - sample the chocolate heaven of Cadbury's World or the more funfair atmosphere of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

There are also plenty of places with facilties to keep the younger members of the family smiling while the others enjoy white knuckle rides.
