St Michael’s Mount a 14th century castles situated on a giant granite crag that rises from Mounts bay. The castle is home to the St Aubyn family. The mount is surrounded by lush vegeatation and down by the sea there is a small habour that traditionally traded in tin. Mounts Bay is claimed to be one of the most beautiful bays in the world with its glittering water and the spectacular scenery. Access to the mount is restricted by the tide, you can walk across the causeway at low tide, but at high tide you will need to use the ferry.
