Birmingham’s Planetarium is located in the Millenium Think Tank in the centre of Birmingham, and Admission is extra to the normal Think Tank price.

Following a short movie (currently Wonders of the World) you are able to explore more of the Think Tank or you can find out about tonight’s sky and where to look for the various constellations and planets such as Saturn or Mars.

The movie explains how the solar system was formed and what it may look like in the future.

On leaving the planetarium you will be handed a leaflet which tells you about tonight’s sky. We looked for orions belt, Mars, Saturn and old star systems.

Our 10 year old thoroughly enjoyed the planetarium and couldn’t wait to get home to study the night sky for herself – brilliant!!
