Featuring narrow streets, pastel-washed medieval houses and a bustling waterfront, Padstow is one of the least spoilt of Cornish fishing ports. 

Still an active fishing port the town has some famous seafood restaurants with Rick Steins Seafood School being a particular highlight and you can also visit the National Lobster Hatchery

On summer evenings there are quayside concerts and on May 1st the town celebrates and the pagan 'Obby 'Oss is released in a carnival atmosphere.

Padstow is on the Camel estary, and to the north of Padstow are several great beeches with superb sand.

The estury can be fast flowing so bathers should beware, but because the beaches are  inland they also can be a haven windy days.

If you are visiting Padstow then consider either using the park and ride scheme or think about parking along the Camel Trail and cycling in instead.
