Sark
Sark is the smallest of the four main Channel Islands, at just three miles long and 1.5 miles wide.
No cars are allowed on the island, giving the place a tranqulity which is rarely found these days. Get about by foot or by horse drawn taxi!
Enjoy breathtaking views along 40 miles of unspoilt coastline and later enjoy the lobster dishes for which the island is known.
The Seigneur (or head) of Sark lives in La Seigneurie, a house dating back to 1675 and although the building isn't open to the public the gardens are and worth exploring.
On this fairytale island also visit the tiny stone prison which dates back to 1856 and is still used today for anyone who gets out of hand!
A pleasant hour's ferry ride from Guernsey, Sark is a place which really lets visitors unwind.
