Droitwich Spa
Droitwich Spa became famous for saltmaking and there's evidence that it was extracted as far back as the Iron Age.
Later the Romans occupied the area and built a fort and villa. By the 13th century salt was transported all over the country from this unassuming town.

Close to Droitwich is Hanbury Hall, an 18th century building containing famous porcelain figures.

Also take time to stop at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury where you'll find a whole range of beautifully made handcrafted goods and an excellent restaurant with home-made food and cakes.
