Dunstable is a large market town with part of a fine 12th century abbey surviving as the town's parish church.
But it's probably better known for being near one of the top tourist attractions in Britain - Whipsnade Zoo.
This is a great day out for the young and young at heart. There's 600 acres of parkland to see everything from grizzly bears to cheeky monkeys. Travel by safari bus or on the Great Whipsnade Railway to get a good view of the animals.
