Bedford
Many of the attractions in the county town of Bedford revolve around its' most famous son - John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim's Progress.
A non- conformist preacher, he spent 12 years in prison when his way of preaching was banned in 1660.
He put his time to good use and Pilgrim's Progress became one of the best selling books in the world. Learn more about him at the Bedford Museum or follow a trail around the town of significant places.

Nearby, the award winning Bedford Butterfly Park is situated in 10 acres of wildflower meadows with all kinds of exotic butterflies to see.
