Essentially a commuter town, Reigate has its own castle remains, an old Market House dating back to the 1700s and ruins of a priory.
There isn't much remaining of the castle except for a folly in the grounds where it once stood.
The town centre is a mixture of old and new buildings. One big advantage is the town's close proximity to Gatwick Airport but it's also near Surrey Downs, where there's plenty of opportunity for walking.
