The Vale of White Horse county includes three bustling market towns - Abingdon, Faingdon and Wantage.
But the outstanding feature of this area is the mysterious Uffington White Horse from which the area takes its' name.
This white horse is cut out of the turf and is an incredible 374 feet long and there are many theories as to when it was created and exactly what it represents.
It is believed to have been created 2,000 years ago as some kind of tribal or Celtic symbol. But some local people reckon it's not a horse at all but a portrait of a dragon slain on nearby Dragon Hill!
On the summit of White Horse Hill are the remains of Uffington Castle- not a castle as such but really an Iron Age hillfort. From here there are some great views across the landscape.
