Hereford
Hereford, the main city in the county, has a few treats for the visitor.
It has a magnificent Norman cathedral containing a real treasure - the Mappa Mundi - a 12th century medieval map of the world.
Indeed, the city, which is right on the banks of the River Wye, is thought to be one of the oldest in Britain.
Every three years the city hosts the Three Choirs Festival, the oldest festival of its kind in Europe
The city  is also home for cider making and there's a cider museum which traces the history of the industry. Many of the pubs sell the resulting cider but warn that it's very strong!
