Newmarket
Newmarket is best known as the home of racing and the town itself is largely
influenced by the sport.
The biggest attraction is Newmarket Racecourse, with  the sport actually dating back to the 1600s.
There are two racecourses: Rowley Mile and July and Rowley Mile was recently
improved with a new grandstand.
It's the ideal place for a day out - with the atmosphere and excitement of watching the horses and riders.
Away from the racecourse, stop by the nearby National Horseracing Museum next to the Jockey Club on the High Street. Here you can learn all about the history and industry built up around the sport.
It's also the place to enquire about tours of Newmarket itself. This is the ideal chance to see behind the scenes, with experts taking you to see horses training on the course and even in their swimming pool!
As you might expect, there are plenty of art galleries and shops with an equestrian theme in Newmarket.
And outwith the town are stud farms and training centres including the famous National Stud on Newmarket Heath.
Visitors can even see horses being bought and sold at Tattershalls as they have done since the 1870s.
