Lowestoft is famous for sandy, clean beaches, which make it an ideal place for a family holiday.
It is a fishing port but the industry has declined and now tourism is the main source of income.
The maritime link is strong here and there are guided tours of the harbour area, which is still home to the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club as well as a maritime museum which charts the areas sailing heritage.
