This quintessential English pub is nestled in the lush countryside north of the Long Mynd and east of the Stiperstones in Palverbatch, Shropshire. The White Horse Inn is a warm, super-friendly family-run restaurant serving hearty modern British fare in cosy surrounds. The dining room - with warm red walls, wooden furniture and fresh flowers - feels like a home away from home. Popular for its traditional Sunday lunches, weekly fish and chip nights and live acoustic music - the restaurant is always busy with a mix of visitors, locals and hotel guests. We love the fresh haddock in batter with home-made chips and tartare sauce; the roasted duck breast on apple and chestnut stuffing with a sweet cherry sauce; and the herb-crusted rack of Shropshire lamb on Lyonnaise potatoes with a tarragon and mustard sauce. The Inn also has a bar perfect for relaxed pre/post dinner drinks.

The White Horse Inn is popular for private parties, christenings, wedding receptions and Sunday lunches. The main dining room can seat up to 70 people, and a private function room is available for up to 40 people. In the warmer months, up to 10 people can dine outside.
