Castle Hotel

Originally a coaching inn reputedly frequented by Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, this hotel is conveniently positioned just off the M4, and 2 minutes’ walk from the nearest railway station.

The birthplace of the Welsh Rugby Union (founded in 1881), the Castle Hotel has a rich history, and still retains its friendliness, good food, wines and cosy comfort. The hotel is the perfect base for visitors to South Wales. From Neath you can discover historic monuments and castles, explore the scenic countryside and relax on the fine beaches which make this area so popular. With such a wide range of activities and places to see, Afan and the Vale of Neath is an ideal location for a relaxing family holiday or an action packed excursion. We have our own private walled and gated car park just 20 m from the front of the hotel. In addition, next to the car park, we have a warehouse with electric roller shutter doors for the secure overnight storage of mountain bikes.
