You might remember The Wife of Bath from Chaucer's Canterbury tales - a woman who considered herself an expert on relationships between the sexes. This Wife of Bath is an expert as well, though in the modern British culinary arts. Set in the idyllic medieval village of Wye in rural Kent, this restaurant something rather special. Start with potted wild rabbit with thyme and rosemary with foie buttered toast and apricot chutney, moving on to a steamed local halibut fillet with fennel puree and lemon, almond and brown shrimp butter. Don't miss the traditional Sunday roast. With advanced notice (24 hours), they'll even do a whole roast joint with all the trimmings for the entire table.
