Another neighbourhood has fallen under the spell of Strada, and this time it's leafy Parson's Green that is enjoying a branch of everyone's favourite neighbourhood Italian eaterie. This branch is, like the others, smart and stylish, with wooden floors and a slight funkiness to the decor that makes
it inviting and informal. It attracts a young local crowd, so the atmosphere is great. The traditional Italian menu has all your favourites; try bruschetta or buffalo mozzarella salad to start, followed by one of
the terrific pastas or risottos, or an adventurous main like chargrilled bluefin tuna steak with a Tuscan lentil, French bean and artichoke salad. Or you could feast on one of their fabulous pizzas cooked in traditional wood-burning oven.
The chain that's stepping in where Pizza Express has stalled seems to be mopping up wherever it opens - Strada has things sewn up; well-sourced ingredients, presentation and taste combined with fine service and ambience. (Critic's choice.)
