Bristol's Myristica, run by brothers Amit and Tosh Lakhani, has set out with the aim of giving their customers 'a truly authentic flavour of Indian food'. The experience begins with the restaurant itself. Modern, sleek and good looking from the polished hard wood floors to the gleaming marble bar the interior surely wouldn't be out of place in a top Mumbai hotel. The food follows suit, beautifully presented, each dish is made to order using quality, seasonal ingredients. With traditional street food cooked with as much passion as the speciality family dishes Myristica is rewriting the Indian food rule book.

Information for Groups

With 160 covers, Myristica is available for private hire be it for a wedding, birthday party or corporate event. In addition two private areas are available for use the Snug accommodates twenty diners or up to fifty standing while the slightly larger Krug room seats up to thirty.

Starters

- Potato bhajia's (thin slices of potatoes coated in a light batter of gram flour, garlic, ginger and chillies, served with tamarind and date sauce)
- Mixed Bhajia's (a mixture of vegetable and onion pakora's served alongside darl lentil bhajia's)
- Chicken tikka (breast pieces of chicken, marinated with yougart, fenugreek and mint and then cooked in tandoori oven)
- Shish kebabs (minced lamb, marinated in ginger and mint cooked in tandoori oven, and coated in ground spices)

Other starters are available

Main

- Chicken tikka (marinated cubes of breast of chicken served cooked in creamy Masala gravy of tomatoes and ground spices, with pulao rice)
- Lamb chittnadu (New Zealand lamb curried in a rich sauce of shallots and tomatoes, served with steamed rice)
- Chicken madras (red and green chillies shallow fried with spices, along with cubes of chicken breast and tomatoes and onions, served with naan bread)

Dessert

- Carrot Halwa (freshly grated carrots soaked in a sweet honey syrup and mixed with ground cardamom and nutmeg. Served warm)
- Almond flavoured ice cream coated with flaked almonds
