When The Moody Goose restaurant decamped from Bath to Midsomer Norton a few years ago, it seems half of Bath's foodies followed. Now settled in the beautiful 12th century Old Priory Hotel, The Moody Goose has a magical English countryside setting. Simply decorated in neutral colours with French watercolours and flagstone floor, the two dining rooms overlook lawns and walled garden where herbs and veg are grown for the kitchen. Chef Stephen Shore uses the best local produce to create impeccable, award-winning cuisine in classic French and modern British traditions. The historic, beautiful, elegant Sanctum, The Moody Goose's private dining room, opens onto a terrace leading to the mown lawn and walled garden and seats up to 20. The garden easily accommodates a marquee for weddings or small parties and is perennially popular for client entertainment and business meals.
