Part of Bourne Hall Country House Hotel, just outside Shanklin Old Village on the Isle of Wight, the Hermitage Restaurant has fantastic views out over the bay. This beautiful Victorian country house, with its acres of mature gardens, combines a sense of history with modern comforts and the staff offer warm and friendly service. The restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients. Start with Island Smokies - oak-smoked Oak smoked New Forest meats wrapped in Scottish smoked salmon with Italian salad and sweet mustard sauce. Then go for the chargrilled loin of pork, served with braised Savoy cabbage, wild mushrooms and truffle oil jus. Wrap up with vanilla and nutmeg crème caramel or the summery strawberry and raspberry meringue, then stroll down the sea and relax.
