Musselburgh's The Glasshouse at Eskmills is the Starck Louis Ghost Chair of the Scottish restaurant scene. It looks good, you've heard lots about it but at the same time you're sort of worried you're not cool enough for it. Converted from an old mill The Glasshouse is a juxtaposition of traditional building and contemporary interior. Spectacular lighting, see-through seating (ah-ha!) and glass, glass and more glass make this as much a restaurant to look at as to eat in. But rest assured the menu certainly doesn't disappoint. Watch the chefs at work in the theatre kitchen as they work with locally grown, seasonal produce from small local suppliers to create spectacular dishes which come at surprisingly reasonable prices
The Glasshouse has facilities to cater for up to sixty diners or a 130 person standing reception. In addition to corporate events and birthday parties The Glasshouse is also on offer for a truly spectacular wedding reception, each couple will be catered too individually with no set wedding package offered.
