The Fat Loaf in Altrincham is the second restaurant from the Fat Loaf in Sale and locals must be dancing with glee. Chef Matthew Shaw is imbued with the local community, high-quality bistro concept from his earlier tenure in Sale, but brings his own style and flair to the modern European menu. The restaurant is a smart, uncluttered space with neutral colours, beiges and browns, with changing art works on the walls. With a larger capacity than the first site, The Fat Loaf maintains the friendly efficiency of service that keeps the place humming. The wine list is both interesting and affordable and perfectly accompanies the inventive French-inspired cooking.
