An award-winning restaurant with a gorgeous setting bordering Ashdown Forest. Wonderful views, unobtrusive music by a resident Baby Grand pianist, and very professional service create a traditional country hotel atmosphere in which you find yourself easing into a refined state of relaxation. Executive Chef Graeme Campbell hits the spot time and time again with his thoughtful, imaginative cooking such as a smoked salmon and oysters starter, and Dover sole filleted at the table. Four pastry cooks guarantee amazing desserts, the Bramley apple tarte tatin a prime example; the 20 minute wait rarely puts anyone off.

Private dining for 150. Cocktails and canapés can be served in the adjoining cocktail bar or one of the Drawing Rooms. Award-winning wine list has no fewer than 400 bottles including one of the only remaining bottles of Dom Perignon 1959. Good mix of international wines; 16 by the glass; several half bottles.
