This family-run house was built in 1854, by and for the local railway, which arrived in Windermere at that time. Today, the house still retains its beautiful original exterior, its slate roof and several other lovely period features. There are 5 comfortable, modern en suite rooms with showers, each of which is well-equipped with a colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. Lingmoor Guest Accommodation aims to offer a comfortable, hospitable stay, at an affordable price, in a family-run house. With just 5 rooms, guests can benefit from attentive, personalised service. Accommodation is available throughout the year. The town of Windermere provides excellent bars, restaurants and local shops and a 20-minute walk will bring you to the lake, where boats can be hired or a lake cruise taken, giving you time to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Guests can load and unload right outside the front door and parking is available for guests’ use at an additional cost, just 2 minutes’ walk away.
