Directions

By Car (from the M5 motorway): - From the M5 motorway from Bristol, follow the signs for Exeter and then for Newton Abbott onto the A380, which leads directly on from the end of the M5. - Continue on the A380 to Torquay, ignoring any signs for Paignton. - Go through Torquay to the seafront, at the T-junction at the seafront, with the sea in front of you; turn right, following the sign towards Paignton. - Continue on this road for approximately 0.7 miles (1 km), the road then turns left into a one-way system. - Continue straight on down, under the railway bridge, following the signs for the seafront. - Follow the road to Paignton Green, a large lawned area that runs the length of the central seafront. - As the road turns right at the start of Paignton Green, follow it round to the 2nd set of traffic lights, with Paignton Pier on the left-hand side and Park Hotel on the corner on the right, bordering Garfield Road. Straight ahead on Paignton Green is the large white building, the Apollo multiplex cinema. - As Garfield Road is no entry from the lights, go through the traffic lights, and take the first right onto Beach Road, or the second right onto Kernou Road, to the top. - The Garfield Road one-way system is at the top of either road. Turn right towards the top of Garfield Road by the Victoria car park and then turn right around the corner onto Garfield Road, where the hotel is located. - The Cherwood Hotel is the 5th building on the right-hand side.
