Penmaenuchaf Hall Hotel

Boasting wonderful views over the Mawddach Estuary and the mountains beyond, this magnificent country house hotel stands in 20 acres of formal gardens, grounds and woodland.

Set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and close to the market town of Dolgellau - where Mid Wales meets North Wales - this impressive hall was built in 1860 and has undergone careful restoration by the present owners, who have created a comfortable and welcoming hotel. This stylish hotel is perfect for chilling out and enjoying good food and wines or, if you want to be more energetic, there are a multitude of activities including mountain biking, fishing, walking, golf and pony trekking on offer. The hotel is licensed for Civil Weddings and Civil Partnerships, as well as being fully-equipped for corporate functions. The comfortable and elegant common areas include: The Hall: polished oak floors and panelling, sumptuous rugs, deep sofas, jugs of fresh flowers and a blazing log fire greet you as you step in to this splendid country manor The Library: a leather sofa, deep set armchairs, oriental rugs on sea grass, a period desk and, of course, books, set the scene in the richly decorated library. Perfect for relaxing with a good book or writing a postcard or two, you could even check your e-mails in the privacy of the library using the complimentary internet access. The Morning Room: the sumptuously furnished morning room enjoys the morning sun and has outstanding views to the Rhinog Mountains across the Mawddach Estuary. Perfect for relaxing with a pot of morning coffee or relishing a traditional Welsh afternoon tea. The Drawing Room: This room has a truly romantic, warm and convivial ambience. Relax in the grand oak panelled room by falling into the comfy leather sofas in front of the stone arched fireplace, complete with bygone family coats of arms and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Or perhaps be entertained on the fine grand piano whilst sipping an aperitif and musing over the dinner menu and wine list.
