Our cats love helping out in reception, putting their dirty paws on the paperwork! 

This is Perkins showing off her acrobatic skills in the rafters of the games room.

Sprocket's favourite game is playing with pens left on reception desk.  She knocks them on to the floor for the dog to chew!

Watch out she loves to explore awnings!

The chickens rule the roost here at Thornton's Holt.

This Silky Cockrel thinks himself very big and handsome but he's just a little titch next to some of the other roosters!

Sometimes it rains...... but the ducks enjoy the puddles!

Sometimes we have some new arrivals.  These young chicks are enjoying a little sunshine.

This is Eric.  He has lived at Thornton's Holt for 15 years so he thinks he's the Boss! He is very grumpy and loves to tell everyone else what to do.

We regularly see Green Finches, Chaffinches, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Field Fares, Wagtails, Robins, Wrens, Blackbirds and Yellow Hammers.  Oh and don't forget the sparrows! Try to count them!

At night you can sometimes hear the local Barn Owls and Little Owls that nest on our neighbouring farms.

If you are quiet you might see the sneeky moorhens & pheasants that live around the site too.
