Ennis is the county town of Clare and is a historically important market town.  The history of Ennis can be seen in the narrow streets and old buildings of the town centre.

Its in the town center that you'll find the Pro-Cathedral of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, which was based on a chapel first built in 1735.

In May each year Ennis plays host to the Fleadh Nua traditional irish music festival (http://www.fleadhnua.com/)
