Burton-Upon-Trent is the capital of brewing, dating right back to the Middle Ages when monks realised that the water was ideal to produce beer.
That brewing tradition continues to this day with an annual beer festival held in Burton every September.
The Bass Museum of Brewing brings together everything about the industry over three floors and entry includes a half pint to sample. The only museum dedicated to brewing in Britain, it has won many awards and has lots for kids to do as well as adults. |
