Knutsford is notable for one of its traditions - the traditional May Day celebrations. On the first Saturday in May the Green Man parades through the town with the Royal May Queen and her attendants and there's some dancing round the maypole too.

Nearby Tatton Park is the ultimate day out - a grand house and beautiful gardens with a 1,000 acre deer park too.
There are shops and restaurants, a working farm and an adventure playground for the children. The annual Royal Horticultural Show is held here, attracting thousands of competitors and visitors
