Taunton is the county town of Somerset and probably best known for the cider making which used to go on here.

The tradition can still be seen at Sheppy Cider Works, at nearby Bradfor on Tone, where there's a country life museum and the chance to sample some nectar.
The town itself has been an important administrative centre since Saxon times and there are many pleasant walks along the river and parkland to enjoy.
