Arundel is best known for the imposing Norman Castle which stands above the River Arun. Seat of successive Dukes of Norfolk, it has been a visitor attraction for 200 years! As well as the castle itself there's a charming chapel and a kitchen garden where organic vegetables are grown.
Nearby is a toy museum, on display in a Georgian cottage and overlooked by the castle is the Wildlands and Wetlands Trust centre, where a large variety of birds and animals can be seen all year round. |
