Woodstock - Home of Blenheim Palace

Visiting Woodstock is a day out in itself because of Blenheim Palace, the former home of Winston Churchill.

Arguably, Britain's best Prime Minister, he was born at Blenheim in 1874 and is buried at the nearby churchyard in Bladon.
Now designated a World Heritage Site, the palace is impressive enough but there is also a maze, butterfly house and pleasure gardens to explore. And there's a huge adventure playground so the kids won't get bored.

Save some time to explore the town of Woodstock, which surrounds the estate. Here you'll find good food and lots of speciality wood, photographic and antique shops well worth exploring.
